Advertising & Promotional Standards

The standards Impact applies to its own advertising and promotional claims.

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Impact advertising must be clear, accurate and not misleading. Marketing must not:

  • exaggerate the chance of winning
  • imply a customer is particularly lucky
  • claim somebody has won when they have not
  • advertise unavailable prizes
  • fabricate winner activity
  • fabricate scarcity
  • materially misrepresent entry prices
  • conceal significant eligibility conditions
  • imply competitions provide financial security

Prominence

Significant promotional conditions are communicated sufficiently prominently in advertising. Where relevant this includes:

  • how to participate
  • free entry
  • closing date
  • material eligibility restrictions
  • nature and number of prizes
  • other conditions likely to materially affect participation

Full Competition Terms remain easily accessible from every competition page.

Each competition records the terms version applied at the time of entry. Competition-specific conditions always sit alongside these documents on the relevant competition page.
